Australians buying from TRF
G,day my fellow Aussie members,
I'd like to ask how your experiences have been (positive, negative or neutral) and why, in regards to buying from TRF (from O/S sellers), shipping to OZ, insurance and Customs duty. I am considering various purchase options and wonder if anyone can provide comment on their buying experience(s). TRF appears to be a strong possibility. Your comments are appreciated by myself and other Aussies! :) Cheers Rohan |

I have bought from TRF and WUS. customs and declaration value is something you shoudl discuss with sellers as anything over $985 AUD is charged at 10% GST to import.
P.S Do you work at sydney cove?

Funny, i bought a nice watch from a TRF member who lived in Australia. The transsaction was awesome; shipping from Australia to Canada in 8 days. a new international shipping record in my books. He was a great guy, goes by the name Tomee on this group. Harry in Montreal

It's great reading everyone's positive purchases here!
As for why it's in the 'Watchout' section. Im not sure. I posted it in 'General Discussion' but I believe the Administrators moved it to 'Watchout'. However, now it's in 'Who's Who' in the zoo lol. I can't keep track of it :) I want to come back each day to see how everyone has done. Thanks Aussies & TRFers Cheers Rohan |

I shipped a package to Steve (LOL-X) down under and he received it without a problem from here in Dallas, Texas. I think it took about a week to get there and was shipped via US Postal Service insured.

I've been thinking of buying from TRF too. Bit nervous about the extra 10% customs tax/GST. Wondering if any fellow Aussies have been stung, and how likely it's going to happen. Cheers

I bought 2 watches from overseas and no issues....but just to be safe you should check with the seller about how they declare value and whether they have insurance.
Btw DavidSW is awesome I agree with Dalip! |
