I'm saving for a SS Daytona and almost there. Should I just wait?

If they were going to attempt this, it should be the YG/WG models only and the only acceptable change would be green hands on the subdials and green lettering; pretty much a Newman Daytona with the red swapped for green.

Doesn't make sense to do it on the steel. If you think you can upcharge a "special edition," why not do it in precious metal so you can really up-charge it.

Maybe do a limited run platinum Daytona with green as described above?

sounds pretty exclusive - but im sure Rolex would love to be able to sell as many 50th anniversary models as possible, hence it'd most likely to have to be the SS version (ie. more affordable than TT or full precious models)

But wasn't the initial anniversary GMT the gold one? Or am I remembering wrong?

And unless something's changed, they're not trying to put tons of SS Daytonas out there, otherwise the hype would have died long ago. If they're going to do a limited run, might as well do one that they make money off of, as opposed to grey dealers making money off of.
