Hello Everyone!

I'm new to this forum, I thought I could first of all use this post to introduce myself and also ask a question...

I bought my GMT II c for christmas and I have noticed there is no "hologram" on the bottom of the crystal. Is there suppost to be one?

Thanks Guys,
D

Don't worry it will be there just very difficult to view with the naked eye.And its hot a hologram its a laser etched Rolex crown emblem on crystal. Its normally at the 6 o'clock position angle watch down with a strong light to view.

It's there but very hard to see. A magnifier and good lighting at the right angle you should see it. It is at the 6:00 position, but I have heard it may off a little either way.

Great watch - but then I will be biased since I have one too!

The little etched crown will be there, just very difficult to see. I have seen them on both my Sub and GMT but sometimes I can't make them out.

Any pics of your watch and where abouts in the UK are you from?

Yeah, the only way I could see mine is a dimly lit room with a good flashlight perpendicular to the dial so the light shines "across" the crystal.

I used a red laser light from a leveling tool. It was still difficult to see. Try aiming the light across the crystal rather than directly at it.

Congrats and wear it in good health.

The easiest and sure-fire way to spot the laser etching is to hold the watch under a 40W reading lamp and then view the etching with a 10x loupe.
