Memphis AD pressure test
Last week I drove to Memphis, TN to spend X-mas with my sister and her family. As I was on the road I went to the Rolex website to locate an AD, as I needed a link added to my GMT that I picked up last month.
To my suprise, there was a AD less then 3 miles from her house! I called her and she told me that she'd be home in an hour. I thought "COOL", as I didn't want to be alone with my POS brother-in-law. To my suprise, the AD had a link for my 78790A bracelet. Installed and fitted; $50. WOW!! Half the price than the Jackson, Tupelo MS and Tuscaloosa, AL AD's wanted to charge me. So, after the install I asked him I f he could perform a pressure test on my GMT. He told me that he would have to send it out. But, he told me how to do one at home with an ice-cube and a hairdryer. I am not going to purposely introduce condensation to find out if my GMT is sealed!!! Anyone else hear of this absurd method? |
