Bracelet question for Seadweller Club.

I have SD with V serial number. I have small wrists. I would like to adjust the bracelet to have 4 links at 6 Oclock, 5 links at 12 Oclock.

My question is; Is it possible to have 4 links at 6Oclock.?

thanks in advance for your inputs,

John

Hey John, I would guess it has to do with how it sits on your wrist. I have what I consider to be fairly small (but not tiny) wrists and I have mine set up with 5 links on the 12 o'clock side and 4 links on the 6 o'clock side (Not counting the 1/2 link on the 6 o'clock side) and I feel it sits pretty square on my wrist. One thing you might find is that it has a tendency to move itself up on your wrist and pull a little towards the small bone on the pinkie finger side of your wrist (If that makes sense? ) I corrected that by moving the pins on the inside part of the clasp until I was satisfied with the fit.

Great watch you've got there - Lord knows I love mine

Seadweller.

How did you got 4 links @ 6 O'clock side?
Did you have to send to RSC to have it reduce to 4 links?
I cant see how is it possible.

Anyone with some info can jump right in here.

Removing a permanent link is a pretty common adjustment.. Any decent watchmaker can do it, or you could have the RSC take one out...

Some folks do it themselves and it isn't difficult..

Awesome, looks like it is a press fit. I would like to know how you guys do it?
Do you have a special tool to take it apart? I just want to know but I may have to make a trip to a watchmaker to do it, I dont have special tool.

Many Thanks, John

That's the nuclear option because once done, there's no going back.

Plus, due to the graduated width of the links on the bracelet, you end up with a minor jump in width, although not that detectable.

I bought the SD "M" for my wife and had the same, but more severe issue but decided to keep the bracelet in tact. My watchmaker said if it is uncomfortable, try to reverse the bracelet, which means the clasp opens the opposite direction, but seems to be more comfortable as the watch tends to shift toward the thumb side of the wrist instead of the pinky side. Haven't tried that, but makes sense and anything from making a permanent (and devaluing) change to the bracelet is worth trying.
