Question for refinishing vintage Bulova (cost)

Hey guys,

My old grandpa gave me his bulova self wind watch that he got back in the 40s for graaduating high school. He wore it all the time and he knew that I was a watch nut so he handed it off to me. When he gave it to me it was in pretty rough shape, the crystal was badly scuffed, the gold case was scratched, the dial needs refinishing and its broken. I would like to fix it and make it look like this... (http://www.farfo.com/menswatches/Pag...ches.html?vm=r)

How much would it cost to fix it and refinish the dial, case and crystal? I just want to know the ball park estimate. Also, would it be worth it since the watch would only be worth $300 when its done? I would like to keep the memories of my grandfather alive when he passes away and I would like to wear it for the time he has left. Thanks guys

If it has sentimental value then I would not care about the price they sell for, I would just have it restored and enjoy it.
