Festina Granada F0647/1
Does anyone know anything about this watch? I purchased recently from old stock at a jeweler in the caribbean. They gave me the wrong manual so there is little I know. It was sold as 18K but after taking to local jeweler to be tested I discovered the case is 18K, the center (polished) links are 18K but the outer (brushed) links are apparently Staniless. the movement is Valjoux 7750 and I have found a few websites which still have this watch listed but all list as 18K, not 18K/Saainless. See link below, this is the exact watch I purchased.

Great,, bought it cheap brand new. 5300CAD The whole thing is solid. The brushed outer links are solid 18k as well. If they are not, i was hosed, but judging from the deeper scratches I haveon them, they are indeed solid. Also the manual doesnt really tell you anything special about the watch, just how to set the time. Enjoy, I love it and it looks purdy like a daytona Not as much gold as I would like to wear on my wrist but a good start,. I also started a thread a while back regardiung my Festina http://rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=154698 Not much, but more info for you. what did you pay if you dont mind me asking, in the caribbean? Also I looked on Ebay and there is a model that is both 18k and stainless (Two tone) Is yours solid yellow gold throughout or two tone? Mine is solid throughout and just placed a magnet to the edge of the brushed band and no reaction. The only magnetic parts is the movement itself. 18k to me. You had me worried there for a sec! Best regards |

I paid $3450.00US a true bargain if it is all 18K gold as the merchant stated. Its the test results from the local jeweler that concerns me. It was sold as an all gold watch. I guess I will have to take it to an Independent appraiser to find out for sure. Thanks for the info...

Mine is white gold so you can probably understand my concern here. The only way to know is to test....

Well, I know its at least 70% 18K white gold. The jeweler that tested the metal on the watch is the locak Rolex and Tag dealer so I believe their assessment. Considering the price i paid, I think I can justify paying an independent appraiser to take a look.
