PP rotor noise
Hi all,
I have a PP 5146, bought new in July. Overall, it's a great watch, and I've worn it a fair bit - at the very least on alternate days. This is enough to ensure it doesn't stop as I don't want to have to reset the complications. Anyway, the only minor grizzle is the self-winding rotor noise. I never noticed this at first, but it's really quite noticeable now. The watch functions perfectly and keeps very good time (within 1 sec per day). Anyway, my question is: is this rotor noise normal on a PP? I never hear the rotor on my 16610, nor my IWC (modified ETA 2892). TIA. |

Hi,
I have a PP 5711 (Nautilus) and it has a distinctive and very pleasing rotor sound. Cheers. |

Please let me try and reasure you, as I felt the same the first time that I wore a Patek.
It is perfectly normal. Just enjoy your lovely annual calendar.

As a couple folks already said, they do make a fair amount of noise. It came as quite a shock to me because none of my Rolexes or my Panarai made a peep. I actually hated it at first, but I don't even notice it anymore.
