How is this for a beater has ETA movement?
I been looking for a beater and I think this looks good because it has a ETA A07.211 28.800 vibrations per hour 4 Hz. But I know a lot of you more senior members talk about ETA movements so can you provide some input??? I think this deal is good for a day...

Do you own a stainless steel Rolex Oyster?
If you do, you don't need to buy a beater. You already own the best damn beater there is. If you'll be doing stuff that a Rolex won't stand up to, then get a Timex or a Casio and save yourself a bunch of bucks.

IMHO, ANY watch with Valjoux 7750 inside for 500 bucks is very good buy. I like the look of that Bulova, and, like I said, it`s definitely good buy. 7750 (O.K., it`s Valgranges, but it`s basically the same) is bulletproof movement, a workhorse that will serve you well for many years...

For a beater I would want something other than a chronograph and would want a screw down crown. I would also choose something smaller than that, it is 44mm and the 7750 is a thick movement, it would be awfully easy to whack it by accident.
My beater is a quartz, mainly so I don't have to set it every weekend.
