I realistic shoot for one new watch per year. The other time I spend it browsing on the net or window shopping. I call it flirting with the watch and when I am sure I love the watch I pull the trigger and buy it. Some years I have bought a watch but those have gone as gifts (brother, mother or father) then I have to wait another year to buy mine.

I bought my SubDate last year and then Milgauss GV this year after dreaming for many years. I'd guess I'll get another in 6-8 months.

I've never "planned" my watch buying. What I have found is a correlation between time spent on watch forums (especially TRF) and actual watch purchases. I had a small group of watches that I was more than happy with for several years and then all of a sudden, I found this site and started visiting it way too frequently. This resulted in some additions over the past 6 months.

I think the next one might have to be the beautiful White Gold Ceramic Sub ...

I like to mix my brands up but recently i've been swayed by a Exp II if i were to get this it would probably be my last unless i sold one on for another. My real lust though is for an IWC PPC II

I got my first 2 months ago(YM Platty), at 30 years old. At this point in my life, there is only one other watch I am itching to get (GMT II Pepsi) but can wait a few years before getting it, if at all. Then maybe 20 years down the road, I might want to pick up a yellow gold piece, not sure what model yet but I'm sure I'll figure it out by then :)

If I had access to more money, and my parents and inlaws weren't poor, then maybe it would be a different story.

I think I'm done- so nothing planned.

Picked up a nice Omega last Jan and my GMT at the very end of last year. I don't consider myself a collector so that's about it for me. I have a few quartz prices and I admit that I don't have enough time to wear em all. It's tough enough rotating my Omega, GMT, and Skyhawk -let alone my lesser watches.
I don't know how some folks do it.

I think about it everyday, even though I just got one only a few days ago. I may have been bitten by a Rolex bug and I am a sickened man. You guys on TRF are not helping the situation either.

Its only been 4 months and I am already on my 9th. One of which is a ladies YM. All of mine are SS. Now I cant get the TT Sub-c out of my head. I get hyper-ventilating when see a TT blue dial Sub-c.

I'm hoping for 1-3 vintage rolexes per year, all depended on my finances of course.

very very interesting thread. AS for Rolex I think I am done for now. My first was a Milgauss Black dial and since then I got 1 classic LV and 1 GV but they are more like an investment. Both watches are still with stickers :) GV is not as HOT as LV at the moment but I hope one day in another 10-15 years I can cash LV out for a brand new Day Date :D

As for the planing... I do want to get hold of a PAM this year at least. Pretty sure its gonna be a 312. :)

Kids cars, apartments, college. No more Rolex for me, I must be content with the one I have - which I am.

There are not that many that I crave. Have bought 9 in the last 3 years(7 for me and 2 for my wife) so I must say I am pretty content with my collection. The only two that have my attention the most is the new Subc LV and the Smurf WG sub. but I can see maybe getting a coke GMT.

Have numerous projects that I have focused on so the purchase of a new rolex may be a while.

I don't have a plan... I have a problem! Since September when I purchased my first Rolex (DJII), I have since purchased an additional five, having just picked up my DSSD on Saturday. I have promised myself I will buy no more for at least the rest of the year... the budget for watches having been far exceeded. But who knows if I can keep that promise.

My weakness will be if something interesting comes out of Basel. I told my AD to call me when the 50th anniversary Daytona comes out... he laughed, knowing full well I'll probably be in next month. He's promised me some other Rolex trinkets! Just like an addict, right?

I tend to buy when I have the itch, and see something I want. In the last quarter of 2010 I bought 3 ........before that, I made a purchase in 2008, and one in 2005, and before that, 1 in the late 1970s........in between, a few Pateks, Audemars, a Vacheron, a Breitling and a Cartier Pasha.......definitely a sickness!!

The future......perhaps another Daytona, Ceramic Sub, Vintage Sub, Vintage GMT....Rolex-wise, anyways!

I'm glad I have gotten into the wonderful world of Rolex and TRF.I have lots of fun here and get great satisfaction having a Arolex on my wrist. I do wear other watches also but nothing as expensive. There are more I desire but then, the more we have, the more we desire and justifying that expenditure is tough. Will I get more... If I can, I will. If not, I'll just enjoy everyone elses right here.

I've found myself getting a new watch every year but can't say there's a pattern to the purchases associated with Rolex. Basically I get what draws me at that time.

I have an annual watch budget.

In previous years it so happened that I bought a higher number of lower cost watches. As a result I have accumulated over a couple of years more watches than I can ever wear - does not really make sense now.

From this year I am off loading some watches I do not wear and intend to buy only one or two higher priced watches.

Discipline, discipline !!

If I can get a new one on a two year schedule, I'd be happy.

Actually, there are only two more that I have any interest in at all.
