Try on a PP Nautilus... It looks so much better on the wrist. One of my favourite watches.

I agree that the Nautilus is missing from this article and should replace the IWC.

I don't understand why the "watch snob" thinks that that the DateJust "...can’t withstand the shocks that a Submariner can...."

It seems to me that the DJ and the Sub are equally robust, except for the depth rating of the Sub, which has nothing at all to do with shocks.

Surely, he isn't speaking of the polished case and bracelets.

I think AskMen is full of it and the "watch snobs" are full of themselves.

I guess he means the case is more robust, and there are crown guards.

i think the gmt should be in the list together with the sub. either or will do.

take out the dj and put them up with the bling and the diamonds. though it is still robust

what the hell is the portuguese doing there. there's no way it can pass of an all purpose watch. watch snob is an idiot.

the AP to should be out. I couldnt care less for that.

then put in an omega smp.

the watch snob is biased. but everyone has an opinion too.

NEVER buy a deepsea
What the hell is that all about? I wish he actually posted his opinion on the deepsea. I am really curious as to why he is so against it.

All-*purpose* watches cost less than $200, or less than whatever amount of money you're completely willing to risk to damage or loss without any chance of remorse. If you paid more than that for it, it's jewelry. Jewelry has its own purpose. DSSD is maybe the only exception I can think of; that's a uniquely purposeful tool.

Only the DSSD is not "uniquely purposeful". Any increase in depth rating beyond that of the old Seadweller 16600 is completely purposeless, bragging rights aside. On top of that, it's too bulky. Plus, there are other equally pointless watches which can go even deeper.

I agree with GMT2C or GMT2 should be on that list.... I don't even own a GMT2 and I think its pretty much the perfect watch... looks 95% like the sub, with additional features that enable a business man or pilot to track diff time zone. I hope to grab one in the near future.
