168000 is here!

Hi guys,

Well I made up my mind, this sub is singing to me.

Can't understand how it can be in such a great condition!!

Originally bought in 1988, it's a 9-serial. One owner before me.

With box and papers, which I understood is rare..?

Anyways, here she is:

Thanks!

I'll take some wrist shots tomorrow, too dark right now. This one is going to get some serious wrist time...

Pic of the model number stamped on the case.
Notice that the papers say 16800.

One question, the winding crown has ofcourse the usual three dots from triplock, but they are crater formed, ie with a hollow center, sort of like "o". Also the five tops on the Rolex "crown" logo is the same, not plops, but circular hollow "o".

Just wondering as I haven't seen this before.

Cool. Gotta love the extra zero 168000's. Made for such a short period of time, destined to be collectable. More so than it is now. Great find. Enjoy

Strange that SUCH A REAR rolex isn't more sought after
While some stupid red writing doubbles the price, this real rare Rolex still has no serious premium, I don't get it
