Yes, I did wait quite a while from the time I realized I wanted a Rolex till consummation - about 15 years.

Like many others, I had things to do...but am quite happy now.

By the way, no regrets - life happens!

But it's tough to keep my mind on that... Many other watches are calling me. I have to resist and keep my savings.

And you did you ? Don't let me fell alone !
Once you get the Mercedes Benz, you will not return to take a look on Toyota. So, just save all your time & $$$, get the Rolex first!

I am buying mine my DSSD next week I waited till I bought my Z06 and have a cushion in the bank. I am getting my toys while I still can I just turned 35 a few months ago and I am not married yet and have no kids. I also have a good job that I love, I have been wanting a Rolex since my early 20s but I always thought I would get one when I was older because I thought it as a early watch. I was looking at a Tag Heuer Grand Carrera that was $7600 and thought I should look at Rolex for the heck of it if I was going to spend that much and once I saw the DSSD online I fell in love with it. I am going to go try it on in a couple hours and see how it fits. I cannot believe I am going to buy a Rolex I am more excited than went to the Vette Dealer to buy my Z06 which I think is crazy it is only a watch. But I have been on this forum for the last 24 hours reading everything I can on Rolex and the watch and I think I may have caught something.

See my thread about buying your first one I would like to hear others stories about buying theirs. Sorry to thread jack:)

Don't worry you definitely not alone . I thought about buying a Sub when I was 20. I had the money and a good job, but decided to set out and see the world instead. Do I regret it? Not one bit. Along the way, I met my wonderful wife and have never looked back. Fast forward 11 years and I start getting the itch again, but this time the wife is the one telling me to get it, so I do. So, my advice to you is simple; wait until whenever you are ready and it will be the perfect time. There are many, many more important things than a watch, so don't feel bad if it is not on the top of your to do list. Good with your savings.

I got my first Mercedes (29) before my first Rolex (30). But I had many more Mercedes than Rolex!
Question of priorities as said earlier.

I like this. Wife before watches

I like your avatar, Kokyuryoku. I used to do Aikido in university but I was quite bad at it!

In the late 60s while in HS I was into Chronographs. Bought a BNIB Chronomat for $265 did not know about the Daytona at the time or I would have bought one for the same money. Rolex came on my 5th anniversary when I was 25 years old.
