116613 Black TT- To SERTI DIAL or Not to Serti..?

Dear Experts and Rolex FANS- I like to see your feedback and opinions on which one you would buy between the Sub-C 116613 TT in Black Dial or Serti-Black Dial?

I already have a GMT II-C, TT DJ, and WG DJ...I am leaning towards the Serti-dial as it is unique and stands out, however, my issue with this choice is that you would lose 8 lume markers from the diamond markers in their place; whereas with the basic black dial one you get all the lume markers but it looks more or less similar to the dial markers on my GMT..hmmm? what to do??..

Go serti if you can afford it.

I was trying on both of those watches yesterday.

There is no doubt in my mind after wearing both for several minutes:

Go with the serti dial. It's not as blingy as the old serti dials on the old subs (the champagne version or slate, for example), but it makes a statement and is tastefully beautiful.

SERTI!

Thanks for dropping by guys and for the feedback- I am leaning Serti-- and the only hesitation was losing the 8 lume markers (at night) for the 8 diamond markers...I know I know, I dont live in a cave and need all that illumination some of you may say it's just the thought of having the "full glow"-cool factor in the "non serti" TT that's got me into this see-saw mode as to which one

Much Appreciated Everyone!

From someone who likes YG, WG, and TT (as well as SS) my preference would be to go for the lume (over the diamonds).....I have to cast my vote for the non-serti dial....I guess I like my bling in the metal.....but go for what you like best....good luck!

If I owned a sport model such as GMT II-C, I would go for the Serti.

SERTI!

I own the slate serti dial on my tt sub and like it vey much. The new ones don't excite me as much. Even though they now have larger diamonds, the blending of the bezel/dial colors seems to take away from the fact that you have a diamond Rolex. Some will appreciate the more understated look, some won't.

The Serti dial adds understated elegance - sounds like a good choice.

If you're already going TT, the new serti does look great, so why not!

I've only ever seen it in one AD in causeway bay going for around HK$105000 if I remember correctly before the price increase. You should be able to get 5-8% off. Definitely cheaper to get it off one of the sellers on this forum if they can source one.

Good to know on HK price and location, thanks again hfc..

Agreed on TRF sellers for the 116613--I'm just hesitant spending that much on something I do not get to actually see/inspect first (if you know what I mean)

Rolex lume sucks anyway. Diamonds sparkle enough in most light. Serti is super rare and you will never see one in the wild. If you ever saw a Serti Sub in the sunlight, you would never ask which watch to buy.

Diamonds don't belong on a men's watch and certainly not a diver IMO.

But hey, it is makes you sing, I'm all for it! :-)

I agree - not only that , but the Gold frame around the date window is very subtle, yet very significant in my opinion..

It really brings the whole dial up a notch..

I went with the Basic black before ever having a chance to see the Serti - now I'm debating sending mine in to Rolex for a switch...
