TT GMT IIC / TT Sub, etc
Hello all,
I just purchased a TT GMT IIC 116713LN. I have read mixed reports regarding the gold easily getting blemished, etc. What do you do to keep it pristine? Thanks

Nick, short of not wearing it, the best thing is to wear and enjoy!!
Minor scratching is inevitable but can be easily removed when serviced..... You picked a great reference, wear it proud!!

You'll drive yourself crazy if you worry about every scratch. I know, I used to do it.
 Only really started enjoying the watch when I didn't worry about it.

The polished gold center links scratch/scuff easily and often. However, these are hairline superficial marks that are never noticeable from a few feet away, so only you will notice them and everyone else will see shiny, smooth gold. You can always touch them up now and then with a cape cod cloth, and they will shine like the sun, but if you wear the watch daily, they are never going to be completely pristine for longer than the day or two after you touch it up! I do everything with my TTs, including gardening (although I avoid sliding my wrist in a rose patch for example) and they look great. The trick is you simply have to grow to accept the fact that you cannot avoid the tiny minor background marks. Once you collect a bunch of them, you will feel more carefree wearing it (until you touch it up, and then it starts all over again).
