Papers are good to have for resale, but apart from that all they do is really sit in the box.

Sometimes in buying a watch you can't always get the papers.

I'd personally take a much better example of a watch without papers than a poor example of a model with papers.

At the end of the day you wear and enjoy the watch itself, the papers are nice, that isn't the purpose of the acquisition for me.
