General Purpose watch..

Looking for a new daily beater for work mostly (work in swimming pool repair and construction). I am thinking Seiko SBDC001 or MKII Sea Fighter..

Of those two I am partial to the Seiko.
Both are quality pieces for their price.

Whichever you pick I am certain you will be pleased.

Agreed. I'd also add Marathon to the list.

Seiko without a doubt! History, heritage and in-house movement...plus legendary reliability...that`s the way to go IMHO.

if you are going to wear it on bracelet, then go with seiko
if you want to wear it with 20mm NATO, go with seiko :-)
if you want to wear it with resin/rubber strap, go with Casio G-Shock ;-)

I'd guess there is a lot of price difference between the two models you posted but tahts just my guess as MKII makes quiet few pieces and I though they were aroung the $600 mark atleast...anyway, I am favour of a Seiko for reliable beater anyway

regards, Asad

The Seiko is 615$, MKII is 615 or 645$ on bracelet.
