Ball Fireman
hey guys just wondering if anyone knows about the Ball Fireman watch. Are they accurate and reliable. Also how much do they typically sell for. I'm looking for a watch for my college graduation present. Can't believe I'm entering the real world ahh.

I recently purchased a Ball Watch, albeit not a Fireman, and am very impressed with it. There is, I believe, another thread on this site by someone who purchased a Fireman.
As for accuracy, I believe that it, like most (all?) Ball's, is COSC certified. As for price I believe that they can be found for under $1000, i have seen as low as $750 but haven't searched much for this particular watch. I think that this is good value for the timepiece. Checking out their website should offer some insight, but maybe not because the Fireman has been updated (replaced?) by the Fireman Racer which seems to be popular, so it may have taken it's place online. I am sure others should have more information than I, or more useful suggestions than telling you to "google" it. Congrats on becoming a grad; a Ball watch would be a great gift. |

I have a Ball Engineer Master II Diver's TMT and I'm very happy with it. It's very accurate, looks awesome and has a temperature gauge! Not that a temp gauge is vital for me but it's still a hell of a cool ad-on for a watch. Since mine's a limited edition model, it cost me over $2k. Most other ball watches, however, go in the range of $700-1500.
For the price, there are very few watches that can match Ball when it comes to specs and design, I mean, who else makes a shock/magnetic resistant mechanical watch for that price? And with tritium tubes no less!

Lorsban,
That is a cool looking watch and I'm thinking of getting one. Just wondering is the TMT temp measure the person body temp or the air temp? I guess what I'm asking is that if you put the watch on, will it measure your body temp and if you leave it on the table then it measure the room temp. Thanks. Quote:

I have Ball Fireman 11 in green.
The ETA movement keeps to +2.5/day buy I didn't get any COSC details with it. Very comfortable to wear and the Tritium tubes are great if you like to know the time 24/7. http://rolexforums.com/showpost.php?...09&postcount=1 http://rolexforums.com/showpost.php?...09&postcount=1
