My brand new Submariner Date just stopped working.

Okay, I purchased my first Rolex, a Submariner Date, about five months ago. All of a sudden, it just stopped working a couple of weeks ago. It has since been shipped out to be fixed under warranty a week ago. There is no way this is normal, correct?

Not much information to really make a comment, you say it just stopped.Did you give it a full manual wind to try and start it 40 full crown turns.?.But in general Rolex watches are very very reliable and seldom go wrong at all.

Seriously, you've been very unlucky. Hope it's back soon and A-Ok!

Was this a new Sub C or a pre-owned 16610? If it was pre-owned, how old is it and has it ever been serviced?
