but isnt the opening bid of $4500 more than the MSRP for this watch in the US?

$4500 = £2470 yes that is more than the UK retail for the Explorer 11

Not sure what MSRP is, but IIRC MSRP on a Sea dweller is around $4400, so it's definitely overpriced. Pity the sucker who decides to buy this one.
