I don't know what's going on but I also would like to see a pic of the watch. A simple crap phone picture would suffice. If your phone doesn't have a camera, it's time to upgrade lol.

Bought my first Rolex as a student. (about 1 years hard work earning the money)
I meet a lot of people in my work, high and low. Everybody wears a Rolex. Probably most by wealthier people, because they can easier afford it. People I meet, generally have bought a Rolex, because they wanted the best. Some because they wanted to show their wealth, but they are generally more easy to spot. |

i am not rich. i consider myself successful in my life in that i have a good job, a beautiful family who loves me and i am happy. i bought my Rolex after buying and selling gold for years and getting a really good bargain at the right time after selling a big gold chain when gold was at its highest. Rolex is for anyone who wants one.

Excellent question. Rolex is the brainchild of a marketing genius. I'm not saying the watches are bad but they do not represent the pinnacle in watch making either. But through that excellent marketing, sponsoring tennis- and golf tournaments and advertising in the right magazines, an aura of wealth and arrival has been established. And that has paid off. Let me tell it in a different way: all my colleagues know Rolex, very, very few of them know Lange... I'm trying to find an analogy in the non-watch world. Cannot right now. Heineken vs. Westvleteren perhaps?

Maybe you should make him do it next to an elephant, just so you can "prove" he's a troll.

I think it is for the people how appreciate small fine things in life. It is not about affordability but about appreciation
