Probable the same number of people who need a watch that can go 4000 ft deep.

People that work near strong magnetic fields..

Remember, they are tool watches and are meant to be used at work.

Not to mention the fact that anitmagnetism is a great feature in a watch. It's quite easy to screw up the accuracy of a Rolex just by getting near a magnet. You can use a demagnetiser to fix the problem, but the easier solution is to build anti-magnetism into the watch.

So I guess my next question would be....

Just how many guys out there who happen to have jobs involving working near strong magnetic fields, would be willing (and able) to plonk down six grand on a watch?

Me. But would rather have the new GMT II. I work a lot with EMI fields and effects of them on surrounding equipment in regards to the very large data storage machines my company manufactures.

Plus I have never had an issue with any Brietling, IWC, or Rolex I currently own being exposed to high EMI fields.
