The new Sub is a Stunner for sure but you can always get it in few years from today...as for the LV it's getting harder and harder to get one.
I would keep the LV and save for a Sub C

Are you not wearing your 16610lv????
If you like the 116610......you're not married to the lv.....if it makes you happy..why not?

If you'd rather own the 116610 than the LV, then go for it. If you're asking from an investment perspective, put your money into real investments and buy the watch that you love and will wear.

No..I dont see any of my watches as investments.......My real estate is my investment......Its a matter of taste and ofcourse....the idea that the lv is special because its no longer available....I do love it but would also love the C

you could get a black bezel & swap it out if you want the black look.

Do It Do It Do It!!!!

After buying my Sub C and getting used to the Glidelock (especially with the warmer weather upon us) I find it difficult to work any other watches in to the rotation.

It is a stunner and, in my opinion, the perfect daily wearer.

I wouldn't trade the LV for a SUB C but thats me, I would just save and store the lv in a safe place to be used later.

.

I got a sub ceramic a few weeks ago, it's my 5th rolex and it's the first one that feels how I would expect a rolex to feel quality wise,it feels so much better made than any other I've owned including my sea-dweller.the sub c haters need to try one. Saying that the old lv really sings to me I like the green bezel and black maxi dial much more than the new green on green and production wise the 16610 lv numbers must be much much lower than any other rolex sport model. Prices recently seem to be increasing on them and you will never get a new one from an ad again. I'd keep it and save for a sub c but you will love the quality of the sub c.

I say why not... I would not have a problem flipping it if your not wearing the lv but as others have mentioned if you still like it, save up for it and by the time you have the $$$ there will be more Sub C around and a better deal to be had as well

I've already done almost exactly that trade (except I went for the TT Sub C). I'm not a believer in investment value. To me, holding on to a mass-produced watch you don't really want to wear for years on the offchance that it might rise in value doesn't make sense.

Even if it does gain in value in say 5 years, you'd only make couple of hundred dollars. IMO, you'd have to own 10 or 20 pieces to make such patience worthwhile.

I have owned both and far prefer the new Sub C. The fact is that it's your wrist, do what makes you happy.

In a few years you will see the subC everywhere... That is a fact. Will you regret?
If no, go for the SubC!

Not even close for me. The LV is nice, like most Rolexes, but the glidelock is such an upgrade. The ceramic bezels are stunning too. Do it!

It depends on what you're getting in trade value. If it's close to an even swap, absolutely. Otherwise, save your money and buy a new sub later. You can always get cash out of your LV if you ever need.

I would do it, as swapping to the SubC is just a progression in your ownership of Rolex.
