Thin lug holes

I recently purchased this 16800 secondhand. I noticed that the surface on the underside of the lug holes is very thin. I'm guessing this is from over-polishing or possibly wear. The rest of the lugs don't appear overly polished.

Has anyone seen this before? Is this something I should be concerned about?

It does appear that somebody was a bit agressive on the backside.. I prefer that that area not be refinished as it is never seen in use....

Still, it should last quit a while..........

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm probably just a little paranoid, but I figured I'd ask the pros just to make sure. I don't want a service case, so I might have to avoid RSC when I service it.
