New member, old owner...
I got my 1st Rolex in 1991 for my 30th birthday. I had dreamed of owning one for 10 years. I thought I wanted a TT but couldn't afford it. When I saw the SS Submariner I fell in love with it. For the next 10 or so years, I never took it off my wrist. I didn't even think about another model. That was until I saw the Blue TT Sub. I am a former college football player and die hard fan. My college colors are Blue and Gold. When I saw this combination on a Sub I knew I had to have it. I think it was a newer color combination at the time and my AD in San Francisco told me there was a 6 month wait. A couple of weeks later, I was visiting Munich. I stumbled into a 150-year old watch shop. They had a Blue TT in the window. I guess it was destiny. My "dream" watch available on my 40th birthday during a trip to Germany. I hemmed and hawed for a couple of hours and after a couple of liters of liquid courage, I went back. Anyway, I love them both but I wear the TT 99% of the time. #50 is 4 years away. I guess I should be looking for a gift for that occasion! I look forward to participating in the forum.

Welcome GoldenBear
I enjoyed reading about your experience, and hope you will share your further experiences too, especially your 50th The blue dial TT has a very strong following, as you appear to further confirm. Looks like you are another satisfied Rolex customer. |

Welcome Golden Bear.
You know blue and gold are Lakers colors. Maybe you need a black and silver (like a black EXP II) so you can cover the Raiders |
