Hi everyone and have to say that I am glad that I stumbled upon this great forum. I have wanted a Rolex for close to 30 years and it looks like I will finally be able to afford one in about 6 weeks.
I have a couple of questions for you experts out there . I am a retired Canadian living in Chiang Mai, Thailand The 2 watches that I am really interested in are the Sea Dweller and the Daytona SS (but it looks like i will have a fat chance of picking up the Daytona). I can travel to Hong Kong , Singapore and Bangkok , where do you think I can get the best deal on the Sea Dweller and if possible the Daytona SS. And one more question, I see "tt" everywhere on these posts , does tt stand for two tone or have I got it wrong ? Thanks again and I will update when I purchase. |

SUPERLATIVE WELCOMING OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED Yes, the TT stands for Two Tone (Steel + gold combination). As to your other questions: Sorry, I have no experience with those specific countries.

"Suprelative welcoming officially certified" O.K. I guess I'll go along with that
Welcome, and in answer to your question I would tend to agree with Padi that Hong Kong is the most competitive for prices, as there is competition there among the many dealers and bargaining is part of the culture. Good Luck with the Sea-Dweller if that be your gem, but take a look at the maxi-dials, they might be more readable when as years go on, especially the new SS GMTII with triple-lock is one to consider. Please make yourself at home. |
