Valjoux 7750 not self winding
Hi everyone,
I recently took possession of my grandfathers Sinn watch when he passed away and I'm a bit curious about how to work it. It has a Valjoux 7750 automatic movement inside it which is supposed to wind itself as my I move hand, and also has a manual winding button on the side. It has a power reserve function on it with 50 written at the top which I am assuming is 50 hours. Now I was thinking the watch only needed to be wound once then it would continue as long as there is movement, but the power reserve seems to go down in line with the time, as in after two days of wearing it, it is just about depleted. Does this mean it is not self winding? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Toby - I just realised that it may not be an actual automatic self winding watch as I can't see a rotor/swing arm looking thing through the back. Are there such things as manual winding 7750's? |

Sounds like you need to repair your watch.

Yes, there is, and it`s named Valjoux 7760.
That sounds like interesting watch, I can`t remember when I last saw watch powered with 7760, it would be great to post some pictures of it. Welcome to TRF! Here`s the link of 7760, hope that it helps! http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-...k&Valjoux_7760
