a 14060M was my 1st rolex. i know exactly how you feel. i saved for and bought it because i loved it more than any other watch i had ever seen. since then, ive flipped for a 16610 then 16613 (now added a serti dial). when i can afford a 2nd rolex it will be a 14060M. what more does a man need?

great choice. keep until your time here passes, give it to your kids.

As for the link removal...you still have some micro-adjustment holes on the clasp to tighten it a bit more.

My vote is to slap it on an olive drab NATO and just forget about the SS bracelet! :)
it will spend a long part of it's life on a Nato...this baby is coming diving ...

Thanks my friend! I have a 16610 in the process of trading for a DSSD or SubC, since I have the 14060M I do not need a 16610 in my very small collection...

I plan to do just that ...
