I own an Orbita "Sparta Executive" dual watch winder, and while I can't say whether it will wear out the watch movement more than others, I can tell you that I am very happy with it's performance. It does seem extremely gentle to me and it works extremely well on a variety of watches, the only issue that I have had is with some vintage watches from the 1950s where they tend to run slow or occasionally do not stay wound. None of my contemporary watches (those with ETA movements and in-house movements such as Rolex) have any issue on the winder at all.
Hope this helps. Regards, Steve |
