How hard is it to go from metal band to nato band, and back?

If your Rolex has drilled lug holes, not too hard......if it doesn't, a bit more care is needed....use the right tools, masking tape to prevent scratching & you are good to go.

It's a older sub so if I get the spring bar tool its no big deal ?
I just put a nato on my vintage sekio and love it
I want one on my sub but I can see putting the metal band back on for a more refined look as well.

Good you have a classic sub w/ lug holes......bah humbug...lug holes, a beautiful thing.
Since you are in the USA check online @ www.Ofrei.com go to watchmakers tools.....spring bar tools. There are 2 that look the same, one has the "Bergeon" logo, the other doesn't.....Ofrei states they are made in same factory in Switz. I bought the un-labeled one, a excellent tool.
The unlabeled one is model # FB504 @ $25.95, the one w/ the "Bergeon" logo, # Berg-6111 @ $35.95 ( I used the savings to buy spring bars, they sometimes fly away during installation

)
Replacement tips can also be bought.
