Sub-C vs. DSSD Bands

The band on the DSSD looks very small compared to the case. Do the Sub-C and the DSSD have the same band and adjustable clasp? Thanks

The DSSD band is actually bigger, up to 21mm between lugs whereas the SubC is 20mm. Different clasp system, but both are adjustable.

Patrick is right, but I'd say that while the bracelet on both tapers quite a but towards the clasp, the Sub pulls it off better, I like the DS, but I always felt it just seemed like the bracelet didn't quite fit the watch.

The Sub's glidelock clasp works well, but the version on the DeepSea is a little better. Both great watches.

This is spooky!
I was going to ask the exact same question!

While I love both my 116610 & my 116710 I've gotta admit my least favourite aspect is the thick lugs that 'overhang' the edge of the bracelet, but I'd thought from photo's that this was less evident on the DDS?

Could anyone post some side by side comparison pic's please?

Not a side by side Dan, but it does show the SEL protruding from the lugs...

Same thing on the SubC, the center link on the SEL protrudes every so little. Life is too short to worry about that stuff though IMO, especially when the rest of the watch is so great.

Thanks Rob.....

Am I right in thinking the 'shoulders'/'lugs'? of the case are more tapered than on the super-cased cSub'?

Yes they certainly are more tapered giving an appearance more closely resembling the older Subs when looking down from the top rather than the new Super case

Well, judging by pics and the glowing desciption Dalip told me of you, I'm thinking the DSSD would be a perfect fit for you Dan!
