Hello from Oregon, can anyone id this?

Hello all,
I have an odd request. I recently purchased this watch at an estate sale and am wondering if it is a legitimate Rolex or a cheap knock-off.
I figured if anyone would know it would be the people with the Rolex expertise, so before I say how much I paid for it I would love to find out if it is real and if it has any value.

Thank you everyone for your time.

No pun intended!

Thanks for the input. I didn't pay much for it at all.
What was odd was I paid more for the G-shock I have worn for the past ten years than what I paid for this.
I had a strong feeling it was fake until I saw a posting from another person in the forum that has one that does look identical, just different model number.
I would love to get a real Rolex, just need to get one that would withstand a bit of roughness.
Any ideas on what models to look for? I work in construction.

Just for the education sake of non-experts like myself, could someone point out some of the things that indicate it as being fake?

all Rolex watches are robust in build and will take more abuse than ANY conventional automatic watch. That is part of the allure and the reason the sports models are called "tool watches". I am a union electrician and once worked on a large construction project with a BRICK MASON who wore a Rolex to work every day, which he said was the only watch that could stand up to the abuse!
