1680s, strapped
Hey all,
Decided to change things up and try some new straps for my 1680s. I really like them so I thought I'd post in case anyone is looking for leather. The strap on the red sub is calfskin and the strap on the gold sub is alligator skin. Both straps are "padded" and therefore have a thickness that seems appropriate for the chunky 1680 case. I also like the look of the course stitching, which prevents the straps from looking too dressy. I purchased both straps from watchbandworld.com. Their customer service is a bit lacking (they called to clarify my order three times), but I am happy with the workmanship. I also bought a black with red stitching strap for the red sub and a black alligator strap for the gold sub. Cheers |

They really standout in a good way, well done. Would also love to see the one with the red stiches on the red sub.

Wow Dave that is a great looking combo. I like the contrast white stitching it adds a sporty touch. I might have to stop with the bund strap and get one of these for my sub. Thanks for sharing.

Nice versatile duo Dave. It's hard to beat black with white stitching on a sub. I wear straps more commonly in the winter, too hot in the south, as you know.

Thanks for the responses guys. A few of you requested pics of the black/red strap, so I snapped a couple. I think I may prefer the white stitching (actually "ecru" stitching), but let me know what you think.

The red looks very cool
I really like leather with stitching, pattern or colour of the leather accentuating the watch. Very individual and thanks for sharing Check out the ABP website for examples of some amazing straps, everything from stingray to elephant!!! |
