Yes, Pateks are awesome and probably at the pinnacle of watchmaking.... that said, those Calatravas do absolutely nothing for me. It's too simple, too much of a classic that it appears very bland.
I would go w/ the Daytona, hands down. If it were a more complicated Patek - then we're talking something completely different. But that would also involve more money. With Patek, you gotta pay to play.
