I live 35 - 40 miles from our nations capitol and I did not even entertain the idea of going to watch them on the mall. I sat home in our back yard and got pleasantly plastered and listened to all the noise ( whistles and bangs ) ;o) been there done that, even have the burn fingers to prove fire crackers and bottle rockets can be dangerous. Course you all do know your not to mix alcohol and fire works let alone play with a lighter!

A friend of ours has a big 4th of July BBQ and fireworks at his lake home and invites around 300 people. He and his sons set up the display which lasts around 20 minutes. It is better fireworks than most towns have. Here are a few photo I took. Enjoy! Cheers, Bill P.
