My Tudor Submariner 79090
Hi Everyone,
Well I have finally got one after quite some time. A Tudor Submariner! Model 79090 with a folded link bracelet and acrylic glass and drilled lug holes!!! I have placed some photos below and I hope that you all like them? I hope that, Mr. Dan Pierce likes this watch as well? As I know he likes a Tudor or two! As I do a lot of long distance cycling, I thought that for safety, I would pop the watch onto a NATO. Hope you think it looks fine? I contacted Morgan Jones at Tudor Collector and told him the serial number so as he could date the watch more accurately for me. He thinks that the watch dates from around 1985/1987? Many, many, many thanks to him. Would you class this Submariner as vintage? All the very, very best. Till next time... The Laird

Very nice, and you already have a good selection of Nato straps. Congrats.

Great watch you have there, It'll do you fine for long rides. I wear my Tudor Blue 79090 with confidence when I do my 90Km training ride on Sunday mornings.
As for being vintage I think they are stuck in a 'no mans land' at the moment. They have all the traits of vintage, but aren't quite there just yet. Give it a few more years. Mines a early 90's model, yet with plexy glass, lug holes and pressed bracelet, a retro vintage of sorts. |

Hi Everyone,
Once again... Many, many, many thanks for all your kind replies. They are appreciated. I really like this watch, because I don't see a lot of them around, compared to the Rolex equivalent. This for me, makes the watch a little bit more unique and I like that! And I just like Tudor's, anyhow! I am really, really pleased with this watch and intend to enjoy it to the full. Till next time... The Laird

Great watch. I love mine. It's the little brother to yours (75090). I'm sold on Tudor.

Love it!
I sold mine and my 76100... I really should have kept hold of them, but then I wouldn't have my Omegas...

Hi Everyone,
Thank you once more for all your kind replies. Much appreciated. I just like the fact that this watch looks so good on a NATO strap as well as the metal bracelet! I like to try it out on different NATO's and think it gives the watch a new and different look each time! Again, many, many, many thanks for all your kind replies. Till next time... The Laird
