1961 GMT-Master REF#1675, "Pepsi" bezel, pointed crown guards.

I have heard many things. How rare is this watch?

Rare, I believe. In any event, I've just agreed terms on a 1963 PCG so the rarer the better

This is actually the seller's photo, but I'm sure he'll forgive my excitement getting the better of me...

Great score Tony. I had been drooling over that watch too. The dial is absolutely pristine.

Well, I'm hoping to take possession early next week, all being well. I hadn't planned on such an extravagance but to be completely honest I simply couldn't resist it.

Thanks Mark - I'd actually run out of drool.

Very nice! As for how rare--they are not too hard to come by so I wouldn't call them rare--I would call them very nice though!

I can live with that

Apologies for the thread hijack, by the way.

Sorry, Tony, meant where from, not when.

Yes, my mistake. It's one of Jason's collection, James.

Military watch for me

I made a mistake uploading the pic... I'd upload the inside caseback of a FAP 1675 and not the caseback of mine 6263...
What I'd say is that the only rare 1675 are Military ones, as gilt were produced in great numbers so they are nice but not rare at all!
