La Jolla GTG?? 7/31 - 8/6?
Ill be on a family vacation from July 31-August 6th and would love to GTG with other WIS in the area. We will be staying at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club and although I wont have a car the club offers a shuttle up to the La Jolla.
Cheers Christiaan

There's a guy in a white van who could come and pick you up.

Swiss Watch Gallery 8867 Villa La Jolla Dr. #600B La Jolla, CA 92037 Telephone #: 858-622-9000 http://www.swisswatchgallery.com/ They are open until 6:30 except on Sundays, when they close earlier, as I recall, so it would have to be something centered around lunch. There are a ton of restaurants around this area, some (TGI Friday's, for example) possibly even within walking distance, so a GTG for lunch, then a quick walk over to the Swiss Watch Gallery, to look at what they have in stock, might be a good choice. Alternatively, starting out at the Swiss Watch Gallery, say, at 4:00 or 5:00, and then dinner afterwards, could potentially work better, if during the week, for those who work........ I spoke with them briefly and they seemed interested. I can speak with them more seriously, should this be something that would work. Christiaan and Paul.......your thoughts? We can see who of those in the SD County group would want to attend, and also decide on what day of that week would work best for everyone. Sounds like fun! Nathan

I might be interested in this. La Jolla is only about a 15 minutes drive.

I concede all ideas to the locals who know where to go...I'll just need a ride
I've been to the Swiss Watch Gallery AD last year...nice selection. A couple of shops on Prospect as well from what I remember...

Later in the week is bad for me as I'm leaving for my vacation... BAHAMAS BABY! How about tuesday evening? 5 or 6 ish? We can meet somewhere on Prospect for a drink/coffee/food/shots of tequila, whatever. I don't know of any ADs right there on prospect but there is St. Charles Jewlers and a couple other shops that sell second hand, might be worth a look.
What do you guys think? Tuesday? |

Tuesday sounds fine.....however, I believe that SJ Charles Jewelers closes at 5:00pm, so perhaps a lunch or earlier in the afternoon GTG might work out better......

OK! I have mead an executive decision! (GOD help us all). I received a lot of feedback from the local guys saying during the day would be better, and Tuesday evening would have been difficult for me anyway, so Christiaan and I are meeting for an afternoon coffee, lunch, drink, shots of tequila etc. On Wednesday. I am thinking 1:00. Let's meet up at Jose's, right there on Prospect, I'll be the handsome one with a Sony shirt on.... We can have a GTG and maybe check out some of the shops with Rollies. I don't want to take up all of your vacation day Christian so we can spend as little or as much as you like, and it will be good to meet you!
Everyone is welcome (Except Jocke! ) and I'll send out some PMs |

OK, we're on for 1:00 tomorrow (Wednesday) at Jose's on Prospect. All are invited... (except Jocke) and I'll be the handsome man in the business suit with a Sony badge.
