I also like that it has never been made in TT or full gold, no diamonds, no cyclops, avoided the dreadful ROLEXROLEXROLEX inner rehault, it's always stayed true to it's tool roots!

Lack of engraved rehaut is a HUGE awesome aspect of the SD.

I've never tried on the SD so I can't say from experience but it looks fantastic in all the pics. I do love the fact that it has no cyclops and still looks perfect.

TBH I think the SD would look way better without the date. It's certainly an admirable watch, but I can't justify the extra thickness over the sub, and don't anticipate ever needing a gas escape valve.
