Few Datejust Questions
Hi guys, first post here! Been a longtime watch fan, but I am relatively new to Rolex (been a longtime Omega fan).
Anyways, I might be coming into a Datejust in the next month or so, and since Im not familiar with Rolex, I was hoping you could answer a few questions! 1) I'm unable to date this Rolex as I cannot see the serial number (The serial is between the lugs, correct?). Are there any defining characteristics to give me a quick guess(production changes)? I can tell you it is full stainless steel, jubilee band, black dial, diamond in-set hour markers, screw down crown, etc. 2) When I was giving it a quick once over, I noticed that the upon releasing the crown and pulling it out, I was unable to change the date, or move the minute and hour hands. Just to make sure I'm not an idiot, the movement is a quick-set date (1st click), and time set on the second click. Right? I'm used to my old Omegas, so be gentle please! 3) From my quick researching, I'm assuming this would contain a calibre 3035 movement? 4) Lastly, the watch has no price - it's best offer. Since it has no box, no papers, and questionable service history what would this command? Roughly $2000-2500 working? Sub-$1000 if not working? Cheers! (Please ignore my typos, as I did this on my phone!) Sent from my X10a using Tapatalk |

A photo would be useful...
The serial number is between one set of lugs and the model number between the other set of lugs. Once you know either of these numbers it will be much easier to help you. Is the crystal acrylic or sapphire?

Fantastic, just the information I was looking for. I'll report back once I take another look at it this week. |

Went back and took a look at it today.
It's a screw down crown, 1st click is a quick-set date (counter clockwise), and second click is time set. Hands move/work. I got a quick (awful) photo of it: |
