Latest acquistion - non vintage coke

I have always wanted to give the colorful inserts a try whether it was a coke or pepsi. When this U serial Coke 16710 became available, I said, what the heck, let's give this non vintage a try. So here it is, the first modern Rolex non-matte dial I have ever purchased(The Daytona is a gift from my wife so it does not count!).. I find this watch great for casual wear and it's actually pretty neat!

Enjoy your Sunday gang!

Thanks for reading!

Best,

Fred

do you find that the lume on the hour and minute hands are slightly different color (less yellow) than those on the plots and GMT hand?

Actually I do! I am guessing the hands and replaced luminova hands from the 2 prior service. But this piece is in my eyes, modern, so it really doesn't bother me that much. If this is a vintage piece then HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!

Good eyes!

Best,

Fred
