Hi Rick,
Last year I was in your same situation. Wanted to get a nice watch for my 40th. Always wanted a Rolex but purchased the same watch you described (Colt Auto/Black). Wore it for a year but still had the Rolex bug. Ended up selling my Colt to fund the purchase of my Rolex.

If you will continue to want the Rolex, hold out for it. The Breitling Colt is really a great watch though. The upside is that I got to experience Breitling too, happy I did. Downside is that I lost a little $$ in the resale and could have probably had the Rolex sooner.

Slight regret..

If you're looking for iconic, Rolex is where it's at. Breitling is changing their designs too much lately.
