Alternatives to Rolex WG Daytona panda

I really like the look of the Rolex WG Daytona with panda dial on bracelet. What other chronograph watches should I consider with a similar appearance (white dial with black or darker subdials), quality, size (max 42 mm), and price?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

How about one of these...

Quality = Omega
Price = ~$3,000 USD

and...you get a date complication. Not bad IMHO

Oops. I see that you were looking for similar price now. In that case WG Daytona FTW!

Check out the Zenith watches. I understand that the El Primero movement was used in Rolex Daytonas until Rolex went in-house for Daytonas.

I'll have to see an AP RO chronograph in person. Is there a version with a white dial and black subdials? I've only seen pics of one with the silver dial.

Thanks again for the suggestions.

Well, I`m not sure if you`re interested in less expensive watches, but if you are, why not checking out some Tudors? The quality is on pair with Rolex, and movements are highest grade ETA, assembled by Rolex watchmakers.
There are awesome older models (big block, Tiger and post-tiger) with "Panda" dials and there are new models, like the one on the pic (borrowed from the Web).

If you can find one!

Otherwise, the Omega posted above is a great substitute - I had one, lovely watch. My only beef with it was that the hands were too short.

Its the spitfire made for the German national football team. Its known as the DFB (Deutscher Fußball Bund)

I don't believe it comes with a bracelet, neither did the non-DFB model. That carbon-fiber'esque strap is hot though! I wouldn't want a bracelet w/ that. Such lovely contrast.

Absolutely! The white, black, red, yellow contrast is done so nicely with the dial and hands. Stunning watch in pictures; I can only imagine in person

Eh, I can't justify a piggybacked movement for 22k. I'd say this one:

It's hard to find real photos of that one, but it fits your needs quite nicely. My favorite AP.

Haha well shoot man, I figured you were constrained by budget and wanted more reasonably priced alternatives The WG Daytona is awesome! Post some pics when you get it!
