Vintage Rolex Buckles
Hi, was looking at possibly getting a vintage Rolex buckle which are only available in 16mm I believe (for a strap will be getting soon). Think they are also available gold plated and in steel. Anyone here has pictures of those and how do you tell if they are original? How rare are they to find and what prices am I looking at approx?
Is this real? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NOS-Genui...#ht_689wt_1139 Thanks

I would be wary of perfect "NOS" Rolex buckles originating from Thailand (not to disparage all Thais), Vietnam, China, etc. I'm pretty sure these are fakes, but perhaps someone else could chime in.

Check with Tudorman here on the forum. He seems to have the most knowledge about buckles.

Is there a big difference between the older buckles and the newer ones? If there isn't, I'd just order one through the RSC. They're not that expensive. I picked one up for only 5000 yen.
