Alaska trip - some Aircraft shots

Hi folks,

I just returned from a wonderful trip through Alaska. Took many hundreds of photos, but everywhere we looked, there seemed to be an aircraft of some type. I thought I would share some of the photos. I won't try to identify the airframes, or comment on what I think they might be - I'll leave that to the experts. They are simply posted for your viewing pleasure. Some are from the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum, some are from Hood Lake - the self-proclaimed "Largest Float-plane base in the world", and some are just random shots. I hope you enjoy!

Thanks Gaopa. We rode in the Super Caravan in the 6th photo. Had a great flight over the Inside Passage, and over a number of very impressive glaciers. Didn't have an opportunity to take a float-plane ride this time around though - next time for sure!

Glad you got to fly over the glaciers. Our family did that 20 yrs ago and we greatly enjoyed it. I did not take any pics as there was not an opportunity to shoot from the aircraft. Those were really fine aircraft that you photographed and you photographed them well. Cheers, Bill P.
