Sorry, but I am not a watch maker or knows the mechanics of a Rolex. I just wear it. I am NOT on drug or making a joke at this.
This is serious situation that I am in. I'm sorry that you have to work today, but I am here to get help because I don't know much about Rolex.

And for whoever else who thinks that I am joking, then please don't reply. I am reaching out for help and suggestions and that is why I have signed up for this forum.

To the OP: How about take it back to the guy that did the work on it. I'd be willing to bet he can explain things better than a bunch of watch forum members that did not do the work on the watch. Then, if everything checks out and you're watch is still running for a week without winding, enlist the aid of a priest. You're watch is possessed.

Then they didn't put a quartz in there...

I highly doubt they swapped out of the movement at a legit AD. There is no cheap movement they could swap in there that has a 7-8 day power reserve. Any 7-8 day power reserve movement would be likely more expensive that what is in your Rolex (3185?)..

You could always go back and ask them to pop the case so you could have a look at the movement. Take some pics of it, post here for us all to see.

I suspect your watch is just fine.

It's not physically possible. Thermodynamics man. No way in hell does a Rolex mainspring have that capacity. If the watch is indeed the real deal, I'd wager your girlfriend is giving it a good 40 turns when you're out. LOL!

First of all,

For those who thinks I am joking, please don't reply. I am here for one reason to find out why my watch is running without winding for almost a week. It is very difficult to find help when people are replying with such negative responses or making a laughing matter out of this situation.

Second, I have moved the watch from my night stand to the bathroom counter to record a short clip of my watch.

The problem is it is an "impossible" problem to have a 7 Day Power Reserve on a Rolex Submariner (Submarine in OP)....

Well, I don't know much about Rolex. I am concerned that this might not be my original Rolex, the casing might be but the inside?

I don't know what this will do to the value of my Rolex??

I'm sorry, but I don't know much about Rolex, I just wear it. Also, I paid alot to get it fixed and I am an honest person; I just don't want the dealer to pull something on me because of my knowledge on Rolex. If needed, I will involve lawyers.

Ok here is the question.... it could be running intermittently and your not noticing at the time it stops (as the saying goes... even a broken watch is right twice a day)


soooo... is the watch keeping accurate time at its seven day runnings?....

it so there would appear to be something not rolex inside the watch.

Hi all,

Mystery solved. The maid was cleaning my room and was playing with my Rolex. She moved it around to clean on Saturday.

This is what I have noticed:
My Rolex finally stopped this evening, and each time I shake it, it continues to run for about 30 minutes or so.

But this still doesn't explain how my Rolex was running for so long?? The maid admitted of moving it around but only on Saturday.

Anyways, I will wind it 40 turns and put it in the safe and check it on Thursday or so.

Come on people, a forum is a place for people to openly discuss any concerns or problems that people are needing an answer to.

I am just a person who likes to wear Rolex and not having to know every bits of details like most of you. That's is why I come here for help and recommendation!

If this is how most of you treat people who are looking for answers to Rolex concerns, then this forum might not be for me.

Again, I am sorry that most of you felt that this was a joke. And I'm sorry that you will continue to feel so not only for me but for many others who just like me have joined the forum in search of answers. You all are Rolex geniuses, so help people like me instead of being so negative and so insecure about other people's posting.
