Out of curiosity, if I took my bezel insert out and take it in to RSC for service they would just insert a new bezel, right? I could say it "just fell out." Any thoughts on that? I have an '86 GMTII that I was thinking of overhauling.

Sure, I expect it happens all the time.. These things are not rivited in, nor do they have a safety chain....

I had the same. The winding spring inside had snapped and only could only wind up for about 15 minutes worth.

I know I asked before but since Pete tells about his service work that he is going with and not going with, I have to send my 29 yr old 5513 Sub in one of these days as I never had it in yet. I believe someone here advised some problems maybe with sending it to a RSC maybe regarding the dial and hands etc. I guess first should I let them tell me what they would suggest doing , what don't I want them to do on an old Sub like this?
