Young chess player impressed by my Rolex!

I've owned a Rolex since February (GMT II) and for the first time since, someone made a comment on it.

This weekend, I was waiting for my chess game to start when my (young) opponent spotted the watch: 'Oh, you have a Rolex!?'.

He was so impressed he lost the game.

It did not have the same effect on all my opponents (pity).

Yes...the classic "Rolex to opponent's brain 7."

Hah, he's totally psyched out even before the game starts. Good for you!

I play chess as well but just for fun. I am considered a pretty strong player by my family and friends but I am nothing more than an amateur when it comes to playing in a competition.

If I was playing chess with a person who was wearing a Rolex, I would be pretty distracted as well.

Tell him you won it in a chess game when you were 5. Say that in earshot of the other opponents.
