Brand's Best Watch - In Your Opinion
Just for my education and interest...
I was wondering what was each member's favourite watch out of each of some of the major watch brands. The watch which if you could only have one from that brand, you would include it in your collection. It doesn't have to be the watch which most people feel is the best one, but perhaps the one you like the most. And it would also be nice to have some reasoning. For example, you might say that Rolex's best is the GMT Master II because it is the best GMT watch out there or perhaps that its the Daytona because it has the best chronograph movement etc etc From the following brands: Rolex Audemars Piguet Patek Vacheron Constantin Panerai Breitling Omega |

My choices would be personal ....
Omega: Speedmaster 3573
Breitling: Superocean Chrono Rolex: Submariner These three are in my collection, so these choices are my personal preferences. AP: Royal Oak - one of my favorites but out of my price range VC: Overseas Chrono I have a preference for sporty watches, so, my choices reflect this. The bottom two brands are not to my taste. Patek Panerai |

GMT II. Best GMT.
Royal Oak offshore. Iconic look with a "tougher" edge. 5970 Patrimony. Perfect Dress watch. 197. Rose gold with JLC movement. Classic Panerai look. Navitimer. Classic aviators watch. Hour Vision. Cool case design.

Here are some guesses...
Rolex - I'm partial to GMTs but currently lusting after the favor of the month Exp2 (black) Patek/VC/JLC - uber-complicated models AP - original Royal Oak Jumbo 15202 Panerai - don't follow the high end Panerai's, but I sure like the Radiomir Breitling - Navitimer? Omega - Speedie pro |

Rolex - it has to be the sub, especially the sub-c.
Audemars Piguet - not a fan of the offshore line but i do love the ro and the roc. Patek - may sound weird but i am not into patek. know that it is the top of horology but i am just too young for it at the moment. Vacheron Constantin - same as patek Panerai - was not a fan till recently. i guess that pams are not to be liked for their movements so from the current line i like the simple versions 000, 111, 112 Breitling - to be honest i'd rather have some tags than any of the breitlings. horrible looking watches imo. Omega - if omega, there is only one watch i like and that is the speedy. not a fan of the coaxial movement. i would also add Jaeger as well. if i ever wanted a dress watch it would be some kind of reverso. i also love the retro line (polaris, deep-sea) and the navy seals.

I try to own the "iconic" watch from each major brand for a diversified collection. Here is what I own currently that IMO is the best from each brand:
Rolex - Submariner Omega - Speedmaster Moon JLC - Reverso Breitling - Navitimer IWC - Portuguese 5001 Zenith - El Primero And I used to own Panerai - Luminar |

Rolex: Sea Dweller. I'm biaised - I own one and IMHO it really is the nicest Rolex.
Audemars Piguet: Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph. Patek: Nautilus - I'd take any model from the range! Vacheron Constantin - I'm embarrased to say I know very little about this make Panerai: Luminor Marina. Breitling: Avenger Seawolf: Again I'm biased as I won one, although if I were to go for another Breitling I'd add the chrono Transocean, silver dial. Omega: Planet Ocean 8500 co-axial. |

Rolex--Sea Dweller--classic style, no cyclops, unique and less common as far as Rolex divers go.
Patek--Nautilus--love the retro look, striped dial and case shape AP--Royal Oak non chrono--like the case design Vacheron--know very little Panerai--none Breitling--none Omega--Speedmaster Professional, though the PO 8500 is probably the more advanced, better made watch given the movement and bracelet upgrades. |

Can only speak from experience ont he Rolex line. It would have to be a toss-up between the DSSD and the Daytona depending on you orientation - be it land or sea.
