Slightly different but I live in Scotland and it's cheaper to buy a bottle of whisky in Tokyo than it is in the shop attached to the distillery where it's made!

I bought some fresh garlic (peeled) and was shocked to later find out it was "made" in China. So now we not only have to read labels for nasty ingredients and also for country of orgin!
